Holocaust Study Day

On Saturday 23rd March students from year groups 9 to 12 braved the snow and freezing conditions to venture south to the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Stratford-Upon-Avon. More

Festival Gardens

Mr Feeney's year 7 and 9 science classes visited the famous festival gardens along the river Mersey last week. Year 7 pupils are studying different habitats, animal adaptations and food chains. More

Happy Feet Dance Competition

Timothy Walimbwa, Esperant Cadito and Jonathon Loimo competed in a South Liverpool Schools Dance Competition in which 9 academies and schools from South Liverpool contended. More

Year 11 Buddy Group

We are a group of students in Year 11 that are supervised by Miss Eastwood and are working as a group to be a helping force for pupils. More

Girls' Extra-Curricular Clubs

There will be a number of girls extra-curricular clubs for year 7 to year 11 starting next week (week commencing 18th March).

  • 1. Year 7 and 8 Girls Volleyball - Monday Lunch
  • 2. Year 7 and 8 Girls Football - Tuesday Lunch
  • 3. Year 9-11 Girls Aerobics/Zumba - Thursday After School 3:05-4:05. This club would be a great opportunity for tutees beginning their Duke of Edinburgh Award as this can count towards the practical aspect of the award.

Students finish the Academy day on Wednesday’s  at 2.10. Here we have a fantastic opportunity for you to do something really useful, fun and possibly life changing. Working with the Liverpool Scouts we can now offer UAL students the chance to become scouts in our very own UAL Troop.

So if you are interested why not let us know and you may just be starting something that changes you forever!

What is the Scouts?

Scouting has been around for a long time. It is an organisation where you can join in with your friends, learn skills, get experiences you would not get anywhere else, build up your confidence and be part of something that is respected all over the world. More Information...

Attention UA Students! Two new after school clubs starting...

1. International Club - students will have the chance to try foods from around the world, learn about different countries, religions and languages and earn the opportunity to attend a trip to Portugal to visit a link school.
This will be on Monday nights (starting 11th March) 3.05pm - 4.05pm in D18.

2. Debate Club - students will learn to debate through a range of speaking and listening games and activities. UA hope to be able to enter a team in to some inter-schools debates by the end of the summer term.
This will be on Tuesday nights (starting 12th March) 3.05pm - 4.05pm in D18.

With results last year hitting an all-time high and our 6th Form growing to over twice the previous year's size, we anticipate high levels of interest in the Academy.
